If you click on that link over there on the right hand side that says "THE TELLY" then you will be magically transported to our new page which features
some of our favourite videos from Salford bands, singers etc.
Since the demise of Salford Music TV we've been relying on the good work of many people to showcase the visual stuff and this is our tribute to the fine work of the amateur and pro video makers out there. OK, let's have a gander.
Method Action.
by JC. 16.08.10.
All has been quiet on the Suzuki Method
front recently.
So. I headed down to the "Method bunker" on the ever-salubrious Cobden Street to try and find out what's been going on lately. Why the delays? What's in the pipeline? and will that bloody EP ever be released? MORE
Chim-chiminee.
by JC. 15.08.10.
Chimney
Pot Park was the venue for the annual Super Saturday Spectacular
or Langworthy Festival or whatever they call it nowadays. Which
was basically some bouncy castles and stuff for kids to do, a few places
to buy some scran ("healthy" or "life-shortening" were the two options)
and wall-to-wall live music. MORE

But Oh... those Summer Nights.
04.07.10.
With the temporary closure of
Islington Mill the brains behind
Helmets for Men have relocated for a couple of gigs to the legendary
Kings Arms on Bloom Street.
The first gig features sets from
Black Horror,
Kin and
The Arch Nazards.
With a Salford debut for Adrian Flanagan's Black Horror, a return to the King's for
Kin, and with the success of the "Nazards" at the last Helmets, the gig on 17th July promises to be a classic.
A couple of weeks later, on 7th August, the baton is handed to Salford's Pearl Divers, Manchester's The Jannocks - possibly their last gig with singer Tom Warden's emigration to Australia, and topping the bill new soul-beat sensations The Janice Graham Band. DJs from Salford City Radio will be playing tunes all night at both gigs.
For more info and updates- try the official event page on Facebook.
Tickets are £5 and available on the door.

Twenty five years on from its conception, and after a
lengthy hiatus, Salford's very own AAAK (As Able as Kane)

Sacred Trinity Church was
transformed into a base for a multi-media spectacular as

supported an intense, and muscular musical performance from
Ding and Paul.
